The La Salle theater department held its opening night of this year’s spring musical “Little Shop of Horrors,” on Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m.
The show spans roughly two hours with a 20-minute intermission in the middle. It follows the story of Seymour Krelborn, his love interest Audrey, and the carnivorous plant, Audrey II, who feeds on human blood.
Sophomore Akil Pinney played Seymour, and senior Madeline Schnyder acted as Audrey, while multiple members of La Salle’s theater helped control and voice the large prop that was Audrey II.
The La Salle community will have five more opportunities to see either the main or swing cast of “Little Shop of Horrors.” The main cast will perform on Saturday, April 25 at 1 p.m., and the swing cast will perform on Thursday, April 23 at 7 p.m. and Friday, April 24 at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 25, will be a non-senior show at 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday, April 26, there will be a senior show at 2 p.m.
