The boys and girls varsity tennis teams traveled to Tualatin Hills Tennis Center in Hillsboro to compete in the OSAA Tennis State Championship on both Friday, May 22 and Saturday, May 23, starting at 8 a.m.
The Falcons boys team placed first in state with only three separate entries into the State Championship. Senior River Nichols lost in the first round, doubles partners sophomore Lucas Wong and junior Nolan Wong placed third and earned the team five points, and junior Kaiden Harris won his first 5A singles state championship since 2024 and tallied up a championship-winning eight team points for La Salle.
With Harris’ win, the Falcons ended with 13 points and edged out Crescent Valley High School, who had 11.5 points, for La Salle’s third consecutive season winning 5A boys tennis state championship.

La Salle’s girls tennis team had four different entries into the tournament, and ultimately placed eighth with 2.5 points, with one point contributed by sophomore singles player Luci Reid, one point from senior doubles partners Kaitlin Carter and Isabella Montecucco, and half of a point from doubles partners sophomore Noemie Anderson and senior Suzy Valdivia.
