Sophomore Esme Ryznar is currently in her first semester of Journalism. Coming from Alaska roughly 14 years ago, she enjoys the rainy weather and atmosphere of Oregon.

Coming to La Salle simply because her brother, Dylan, attended, Esme has since found herself participating in many activities, engaging in the opportunities presented to her, and loving the community at La Salle.

Esme has played soccer since the age of four, and participates in the soccer team at La Salle as well as running track in the spring. In addition to this, she is a member of the band, playing the violin — an instrument she has played since the age of five.

On the weekends, you can find Esme playing a soccer game, practicing violin, doing her homework, or playing guitar.

Only having left the country once on a road trip to Canada, Esme hopes to someday visit Paris and Australia. She also plans to visit every state in the U.S. during her life.

In the future, Esme hopes to attend college, possibly in California, and pursue a career in science and nature.
