The closest mall to gather near La Salle, Clackamas Town Center, recently opened an internet-viral cafe that specializes in croffles, which consist of a croissant and waffle in one.
Croffle Crew Cafe held its grand opening on Oct. 25, 2025, and several students from La Salle have tried and suggested we review their unique dessert, the croffle. The croissant is pressed in the waffle batter before being topped with various sweet and savory toppings.
Two Falconer staff members purchased and reviewed some standout items on their menu.
Here are our thoughts:
Matcha Latte with Lavender Sweetener
At $5, the small matcha with lavender sweetener exceeded our expectations. It’s simple, but satisfying — great for people who enjoy a plain matcha without too much sweetness. The subtle lavender sweetener complemented the matcha without diminishing either flavor.
Averaged from our individual ratings, we settled on a rating of 8.5/10.
Biscoff Croffle
The Biscoff Croffle came in at $10.50 — higher than everything else we ordered by a whole dollar. The cream was pre-topped for the dessert, and a whole Biscoff cookie was placed on the top.
The flavor and texture were on point and blended perfectly, and we had no complaint at all except the price, earning the Biscoff Croffle a 9/10.
Nutella Lover Croffle
The Nutella Lover Croffle, priced at $9.50, had an impressive presentation, featuring drizzled Nutella and topped with sliced bananas and strawberries. A sprinkle of powdered sugar was added as well, and the croffle itself was stuffed with Nutella.
Our opinions were more mixed this time, but our ratings averaged out to a score of 8.5/10.
Dolce Churro Croffle
Priced at $8.25, the Dolce Churro Croffle is the only one in our tasting to come with a side cup of cream.
We agreed that the presentation was lacking compared to the other two croffles, and that it was too sweet to eat in one sitting. For that reason, we agreed on a rating of 8/10.
In total, we spent about $35 and were satisfied with our experience. The service was attentive, and although the cafe was packed, we didn’t have to deal with a line. The store was spacious for a cafe and included an open kitchen area, seasonal decorations, dispensers for water and utensils, and many styles of chairs. The whole environment was aesthetically pleasing, cozy, and filled with music and chatter.
After visiting Croffle Crew Cafe, we’d give this place an overall rating of 8.5/10.
Their fresh food, quality of service, and warm environment makes this a great spot to visit after school for an aesthetic Instagram post or a comfy study time.
