La Salle’s 2026 prom was held on Saturday, May 16, at the Exchange Ballroom in Northeast Portland.

During prom, the majority of students spent their time on the dance floor, where there were food and drinks.

The doors to prom were open between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m., were closed for a period of time, and reopened at 9:30 p.m.

Before entering the dance floor, attendees had the option to check in their coats.

Prom had several refreshments for attendees to consume, including water and strawberry lemonade.

According to Director of Community and Student Leadership Mr. Quinn Peoples, an external event planner was hired to help with prom, bringing the drapes and sign, among other things.

The original theme of prom 2026 was “Great Gatsby,” but after realizing that many other schools had the same idea, it was changed to “La La Land,” according to Mr. Peoples.

When the song “Low,” by Flo Rida played, students got close to the floor and sang along.

On Saturday, May 16, La Salle held its annual prom at the Exchange Ballroom in Northeast Portland this year with the theme “La La Land.”
Doors opened to students at 7:30 p.m. and closed at 8:30 p.m. They opened again at 9:30 p.m., and once they did, the majority of students exited.
The prom was planned by La Salle’s Leadership class under the guidance of Director of Community and Student Leadership Mr. Quinn Peoples. The next dance will be the St. La Salle Day Dance on Thursday, May 28.
