Students and staff headed to the gym for an assembly aimed at both celebrating current seniors and charting the course for student life next year on Friday, April 17.
The main focus of the assembly was for students to hear speeches from the candidates running for election to become a Co-Student Body President — juniors Arsema Abraha, Jacob Broudy, Milo Davidson, and Heremela Solomon, as well as Jack London, who attended virtually. At the end of the day, Abraha and London were announced as the winners and will be next year’s Co-Student Body Presidents.
Additionally, student ambassadors spoke about recruitment for the program, with students needing to have completed their applications by midnight on Sunday, April 19.
Principal Ms. Alanna O’Brien closed the assembly by announcing voting for La Salle’s prestigious Zach Davidson Award. For this award, the student body nominates two seniors that they believe have upheld the legacy of Zach Davidson, a former La Salle student who died of cancer shortly after graduating, by being big brothers and sisters to their peers.

Regardless of the outcome, each candidate did an outstanding job of speaking about their passion for La Salle, the positive influence they want to make on the community, and they allowed their personalities to shine through! Well done, everyone!!!
