Senior Anne Rust moved to Portland from Southern California when she was three. She enjoys hiking, swimming, and exploring the Pacific Northwest with her two dogs, Finn and Lena. Driven by her love of the outdoors and running, she participates in cross country and track.

Outside of sports, Anne is a peer tutor and passionate about chemistry, hoping to study biochemistry in college. After graduating from college on the West Coast, she aspires to attend medical school.

Anne works at DolFun Swim Academy, where she teaches children of all ages water safety and how to perfect their stroke technique. Her favorite part of swim instructing is inventing fun games to play with her students.

Anne’s favorite pastimes are thrifting with friends, reading, playing the piano and guitar, as well as listening to music. Some of her favorite artists include Hozier, Billy Joel, Greta Van Fleet, and Mt. Joy, and she is always open to recommendations.
