Under the bright lights of the North Clackamas Aquatic Center, the Falcons swam against Wilsonville during their last home meet of the season on Jan. 5. The meet doubled as Senior Night for six members of the swim team: Rachel Yaskovic, Gabby Wolfe, Kaden Nguyen, Natalia Gonzalez, Graham Gilmore, and Nate Broudy.

During a break after the first half of events, the seniors put on hats and Christmas themed socks and simultaneously jumped into the pool. After the meet, the whole team had a party where seniors were presented with gifts by their coaches who also spoke a few words about each of them.

The Falcons’ next meet is on Jan. 19 against Canby and Centennial at Canby Swim Center.

Mackenzie Torres
Mackenzie Torres is a senior in her fourth semester as part of The Falconer. When she isn’t focusing on school, she spends time at the barn with her best friends and her horse. But when she just wants to stay home, Mackenzie bakes everything from elaborate cakes to cookies.  Mackenzie’s life is also very family-oriented. Whether it’s binge-watching Harry Potter for the millionth time or making s’mores with her cousins, Mackenzie’s family is always finding excuses to be together.  This is partially the reason she wants to stay in Oregon for college. After she gets her undergraduate degree in biology at Oregon State University, she plans to go to veterinary school to become an equine veterinarian.
