Freshman Sameera Maskey has lived in Oregon City her whole life, and she loves the scenic views you can encounter on an everyday basis. She attended Tumwata Middle School, and she was the only one in her class to come to La Salle from there. Sameera decided to come to La Salle in eighth grade. It became an option to her when all of her cousins began talking about high school and brought up La Salle. Since then, she has fallen in love with La Salle and is grateful that she gets to attend with her many cousins.

Sameera has always loved writing, so she had the idea to sign up for Journalism the summer before freshman year. Since then, she has taken interest in The Falconer’s work.

Outside of school, she plays electric guitar, rides dirt bikes, and explores creative writing. Something Sameera enjoys doing is listening to music and watching movies. Some of her favorite movie franchises are Tron, the MCU, and Avatar. Some of her favorite music artists are The Weeknd, Childish Gambino, The Neighbourhood, Tame Impala, Arctic Monkeys, and many more. She one day hopes to travel to Nepal and Syria to see more of her family members and learn more about her culture.
