The La Salle boys basketball team’s game against Centennial High School on Monday, Jan. 12, at 7:15 p.m. became their ninth loss of the year.
The Falcons knocked down two early shots, but they were unable to score a field goal for the rest of the first half, trailing 18-9 at halftime. They had a strong third quarter and cut Centennial’s lead to five, but fell flat in the fourth quarter, losing with a final score of 54-36.
Though it was a difficult night offensively for the team, their defense was strong, with the team totaling a season-high eight blocks on the night. Seniors Sam Johnson and Vince Faris combined for a total of six steals and seven blocks.
The Falcons’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 15, at 7:15 p.m. against Rex Putnam High School at home.
