Students show up to La Salle every day in an increasing variety of styles, and shoes are a foundational part of every outfit. Now that social media is a part of almost every student’s life, the influence of peers is encouraging more people to explore their own taste in fashion. Here’s a look at some of the most popular shoes worn by La Salle Students.
Uggs

It’s common to see any pair of Uggs being worn at La Salle. They’re popular for their interior plush and perfect for keeping you warm and comfortable during the school day. Freshman Lauren Emerson wears her sand-colored Ugg Lowmels for their comfort and convenience.
“I love them,” Emerson said. “They’re really comfortable and they’re easy to put on.”
Birkenstock

Birkenstock Bostons have been on the rise for their versatility and stylish comfort. From being viewed as a ugly slip-on to becoming one of the most popular shoes, the Birkenstock Bostons have undergone quite the transition, and you’ll find many students at La Salle rocking them.
“I just pull up to sports in these and then I change shoes, but I basically wear it almost every day,” junior Nolan Wong said.
Freshman Kien Pham similarly echoed their comfort, adding how they’re “trendy and cool looking” too.
Onitsuka Tiger

Though they’re popular, you most likely won’t find as many La Salle students wearing Tigers. Made and mainly sold in Japan, the sleek shoes have become a hit on social media. Their simplicity and versatile style makes them easy to integrate into any outfit.
“You can’t style it with normal clothes, sometimes I feel like you have to have baggier pants,” sophomore Axel Ruiz said while sporting his Mexico 66s.
Jordan 4s

Jordans have always been popular for their sporty and chunky yet clean style. Made for basketball legend Michael Jordan, they exploded in popularity and have had multiple peaks since their first release in 1989. Although a bit pricey for most people, typically being $200 and more, sophomore Ximena Carrillo said they’re worth the investment.
“They make a fashion statement,” she said. “They’re really comfy and they genuinely just look really good with any outfit.”
Adidas Sambas

Known for their ability to be put in almost every outfit imaginable, the Adidas Sambas will always be an easy and versatile shoe to throw on. Their iconic shape allows for a clean style, and according to junior Henry Foubert, they’re good for everyday use as well.
“I wear them to school,” Foubert said. “I wear them when I play golf. I wear them when I do literally everything.”
Shoes are the most grounded part of every outfit, acting as a stylish finishing touch while also keeping people comfortable throughout the day. Many La Salle students wear each of their pairs with meaning and style.
