On March 10, the varsity girls basketball team went up against Crater High School at Gill Coliseum. The Falcons were playing for third place in the 5A Girls Basketball State Championship.

The Falcons had a strong start to the game with 22 points in the first quarter. With help from their top scorer of the game, senior Ella Wedin, who had 19 points during the game, the Falcons continued their lead. The game ended in a Falcon win with a score of 55-50.

This win secured the Falcons third place in the state tournament.
