Behind the Scenes of the New Saalfeld Athletic Center

After beginning the Saalfeld Athletic Center project in March, significant progress has been made and the initial phase of construction is nearing completion.
Once athletes receive approval to use the athletic facilities, “there will be teams that essentially are signing up to try to utilize the space to work out, with an appropriate number of people,” Athletic Director Mr. Chris George said. “We’ll also have opportunities… to offer it to our PE and health students.”
Before the facility is officially used by athletes, the school will establish a plan that clearly explains “how we’re going to use the space, [as well as] what our policies, our standards, [and] our protocols [are], especially with COVID,” Mr. George said. “We’ll teach kids and share that [information about] how we’re going to utilize the space safely.”
