Sophomore Eva Nigl-Chang has lived in the same house in Portland her entire life. While not a cold-weather person, she enjoys watching the rain fall from the comfort of her home.
After spending nearly a decade of her life at West Hills Christian School, she chose La Salle for the academic rigor that it provides.
She has always loved math as a subject, and her favorite course this year is Honors Algebra 2/Trigonometry.
At La Salle, she participates in FemmeStem, Creative Writing Club, and the peer tutoring program.
Art is the thing she is most passionate about, and she spends her time outside of school (which isn’t much) dedicated to it. Ever since she was able to pick up a crayon, her passion has snowballed. Having taken many art classes over the years, she has immersed herself in art mediums including painting, ceramics, and even metalsmithing. Her favorite, though, will always be plain old pencil and paper.
Once high school is over, she hopes to go to a college with a strong biology program. While not sure what the exact title of her major will be, she knows it will be in the biological sciences. Her hopes are to one day work on researching genetic disorders.
