This playlist is filled with a variety of different genres, but all of them cover the different feelings and emotions that come from the autumn season.

With the crisp autumn breeze moving through the air, it is time for a shift in music to be floating through the air as well.  Autumn is a time for warmth and coziness, a season filled with changes and shifts toward the colder weather.  La Salle students are currently also in a period of change, their lives being filled more and more with schoolwork.

To help students adapt to the overwhelming amount of work coming their way, here is a calming autumn playlist to help them feel less stressed while completing their work.

“Woodland” by The Paper Kites

Listening to this song will make you feel as if you are being transported into a forest that is alive with animals and towering trees surrounding you. It gives you a comforting feeling while also keeping you excited for everything else that the fall season has in store.0

“Ain’t It Easy” by Alex G

With the season of change comes confusion at times but also relief, which is the vibe this song gives off. “Ain’t It Easy” expresses feelings of being anxious about all of the changes that are going to occur, but it also gives the feeling of ease. Though this song is in an autumn playlist, it can be easily played any time of the year without feeling out of season.

“Look Out!” by Peach Pit

“Look Out!” evokes a sense of nostalgia, melancholy, and reflection. This song’s dreamy sound makes listeners think about all of the changes happening in their own lives. It brings a sense of calmness and consoling which is similar to the soothing feelings of autumn.

“Red Eyes” by The War on Drugs

“Red Eyes” by The War on Drugs has a beat that is catchy and lively, allowing you to feel as if you are driving at night with your windows open enjoying the crisp cold air hitting your face. This song is one that can be enjoyed during the fall season because it gives off similar vibes associated with the season.

“Coffee” by Beabadoobee

This song is perfect to listen to when you’re going on a scenic autumn drive, enjoying a bonfire with friends, or simply savoring a pumpkin spice latte at a local cafe. This song is also perfect to listen to during those cold rainy fall days, whether you’re doing homework or just enjoying the rain. Though it may make you want the sun to come up sooner, it also helps you enjoy the comforting pitter-patter of the rain even more.

“The Bug Collector” by Haley Heynderickx

“The Bug Collector” by Haley Heynderickx is a mellow song that is relaxing to the ears. It feels a little spooky in some places but brings a calming presence to the listener. Its melody is soothing with many different sounds playing in the background adding the feeling of unexpectedness, keeping the listener waiting for more.

“Apple Tree Blues” by Caamp

This song screams autumn. From the feeling that you are at an apple farm to running around the corn mazes, this song is perfect to play anytime during fall when you want to feel especially immersed in the season. Many other songs by Caamp have this type of sound, so if you enjoy this you should check out the rest of their discography.

“Nellie” by Dr. Dog

Last but not least, “Nellie” by Dr. Dog is a light and fun song that really brings you into the fun side of fall. It gets you excited for this season even though you are leaving the sun behind, welcoming the sweater weather season with a warm embrace.
