Students and staff dressed up for Halloween, showing off their holiday and school spirit. Many chose to dress as their favorite movie and TV characters. The Falconer spoke to some of these individuals to gather their thoughts, inspirations, and difficulties with the costumes.

Mr. Alex Lanaghan

Due to his children’s love of Marvel superheroes, social studies teacher Mr. Alex Lanaghan chose to dress as Dr. Strange. He was inspired by his son’s Spider-Man costume. He experienced some difficulty with this costume due to his lack of facial hair, and “lack of top-of-head hair,” he said. He decided to use a prosthetic beard and wig, which were very uncomfortable.

Kennedy Harris

Sophomore Kennedy Harris showed her Halloween spirit by dressing up as a Slytherin, from “Harry Potter,” but “not really dressed up as someone specific,” she said. Her inspiration was from her love of the “Harry Potter” movie series. She has had the costume since seventh grade, and just added a newly purchased tie to top off the look.

Ms. Karen Kessler

Spanish teacher Ms. Karen Kessler dressed up as Cruella De Vil, accompanied by a few students dressed as her dalmatians. She got the costume from a friend who dressed as Cruella the year before, but she found difficulty when getting her hair to fit inside the wig.

Chloe Beck

Senior Chloe Beck dressed up as the character Beetlejuice because of her love for how “deranged and weird he is,” she said. She found the eyeliner to be very hard to put on.
