Decorations for La Salle’s homecoming dance, “There Is No Place Like Homecoming,” have started to get set up throughout the school.

After students were unable to have a homecoming dance in 2020 and had COVID-19 restrictions in 2021, such as getting tested before the dance and having to wear masks, La Salle is now able to return to normal and host a homecoming dance similar to those held pre-COVID-19.

For the majority of La Salle students, this will be their first high school dance without COVID-19 restrictions. For others, it will be their first high school dance ever. “I think it will be a really great time to come together as a school,” said junior class president Dawson Stroud, who is heavily involved in the planning of the upcoming dance.

When and Where:

This year’s homecoming dance will be held at La Salle in the cafeteria courtyard on Oct. 1 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Tickets and Costs:

Tickets for students cost $15 and are available for purchase through Thursday, Sept. 29.

“The easiest way [to purchase tickets] is finding a QR code on the posters around the school or searching on the La Salle website,” Stroud said.

Students are also allowed to bring guests from other schools by filling out the guest pass form by Wednesday, Sept. 28. This form can be found in the front office.

Theme and Dress Code:

This year’s theme is “There Is No Place Like Homecoming,” derived from the classic “Wizard of OZ.”
