On Tuesday, Dec. 7, #6 La Salle’s boys varsity basketball team competed against #3 Cleveland High School in the brick oven, and lost with a final score of 42-58.

“The first quarter kind of killed us, [but] the second through the end was pretty solid,” said Carson Frick, a member of the varsity team. “We got a lot better from there, so that’s good.”

Last year, the team was not able to play a full season due to the pandemic. However, this year, the season is three months long. “I’m glad we have a lot more games than last season,” Frick said. “Our season is twice as long, so I’m definitely looking forward to that.”

Along with a longer season, the team will have the opportunity to go to playoffs this year. “Hopefully we actually get playoffs this season because last year we didn’t,” Frick said.

The next game will be an away game on Friday, Dec. 10, against the #27 Dalles High School.
