On Thursday, Dec. 9, #20 La Salle girls varsity basketball team took on #21 Mountainside High School at home for their first game of the season. La Salle fell to Mountainside with a final score of 46-58. 

“We sort of lost our energy throughout the game, but we will just learn from that and get better and progress throughout the season,” sophomore Clara Hudson, a member of the varsity team said. “I’m looking forward to getting better as a team and being able to play more fluidly,” 

The team played against Central Catholic on Tuesday, Dec. 14. They won with a final score of 72-54. The next game will be on Saturday, Dec. 18, at an undecided location for the Nike Tournament of Championships.
