Seven Chill Songs to Ease You Into the New School Year

As La Salle students must once again say goodbye to summer and hello to the hallways of La Salle, it’s not surprising that many students are most likely feeling a bit moody. Going from sleeping in, laying in the sun, and swimming every day, to waking up early each morning and listening to teachers give lessons all day is a tough transition to make. To ease you back into the school year, and help relieve your stress, here are seven songs to help you chill out and de-stress at the end of a long school day.
1.) Sunflower – Rex Orange County
Rising star Rex Orange County will instantly put you in a better mood with his super sweet single, “Sunflower.” The simple yet eclectic guitar riffs, mixed with charming lyrics, make this song a great one to kick back and relax to after a long day at school.

Guitarist, vocalist, and producer Steve Lacy will take the edge off of school with his alternative R&B song, “Dark Red,” from his six-track “Steve Lacy’s Demo EP.” With his smooth voice and mellow mix of funky beats, this song is perfect to add to your playlist.

Whether you’re looking to relax, sing, or just boost your mood a little, “Dancing,” by Mellow Fellow is exactly what you need. This laid-back song about dreams and regrets has a vintage vibe that is hard not to enjoy.
