The Spring Musical is just around the corner. This year, La Salle will be performing the Broadway Production of You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, written by Clark Gesner.

The show’s opening night will be Friday, April 22nd at 7:30 in the Casciauditorium, and will continue for four additional show times, two matinees, and one grade school matinee. This play is available for all audiences interested in a play filled with laughter, entertainment, and comedy.

Sophomore Eric Nguyen, who is playing Linus, stated, “This musical will be fun and enjoyable for all people who enjoy Charlie Brown and his beloved friends, reaching from the classics to the recent pieces of the Peanuts gang and their lives together as friends.”

La Salle’s production of You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown is focused around the lives of Charlie Brown and his friends. Richard Nguy, sophomore, who is playing Pigpen, said, “The cast and crew is full of vibrancy and portrays the Peanuts gang in a way all ages will enjoy to watch.”

The production captures the life of the Peanuts gang surrounding school lunches, baseball games, anticipation of Valentine’s from fellow friends, and Snoopy piloting a World War I plane atop his doghouse.

Charlie Brown, a young boy prone to anxiety and uneasiness will be played by junior Gabe Tafoya. His young sister Sally will be played by sophomore Emma Kuffner. Linus and Lucy will be played by sophomores Eric Nguyen and Veronique Poulsen. Charlie Brown’s favorite pet Snoopy will be played by sophomore Sam Jensen, and his dear friend Woodstock will be played by sophomore Oruulreng Johanes. Other fellow Peanuts friends include Peppermint Patty, played by Ariana Fitzsimons, Marcie, played by Colleen O’Riley, and Schroeder, played by Eli Wild.

Be sure to come check out opening night on Friday, April 22nd at 7:30 in the Casciauditorium. The cost of admission will be $15 for adults, $10 for students and senior citizens, and $5 for children under ten years of age.
