Chick-Fil-A, the Southern fast food joint that much of the country is already in love with, is now coming to Oregon. Started by two siblings in 1946, the restaurant chain has expanded all over the country, with more than 1,900 locations nationwide. Now there will be a Chick-Fil-A at 12520 S.E. 93rd Ave., across from the Clackamas Town Center, right in front of Red Robin (in the old Chevy’s location).

In addition to opening at Clackamas Town Center, Chick-Fil-A will also be opening a location in Hillsboro.

Hillsboro’s location will be at 2865 N.W. Town Center Drive, just southeast of U.S. 26’s interchange with N.W. 185th Avenue.

According to Chick-Fil-A, both the Clackamas and Hillsboro restaurants will be opening winter of 2016, although the company has not yet provided a more specific date.

Students here at La Salle have positive opinions about the new restaurant coming soon.

“I love Chick-Fil-A’s food,” junior Matthew Berger says. “Especially their chicken sandwiches. So I am very excited on it being added to the Clackamas area.”

“I think it’s great,” senior Andrew Lam says. “I like that they keep adding things to Clackamas, but I think it will cause lots of traffic because it’s going to be a popular add.”

Chick-Fil-A has a lot to offer at its Southern style restaurant, including Chicken Biscuits, Spicy Chicken Cool Wraps, and Chargrilled Chicken Sandwiches. They are also known for their lemonade.

Chick-Fil-A is a national fast food chain that Oregon is excited to have and will add one more nearby fast food option for La Salle students.
