On Saturday, April 15, the La Salle varsity track team traveled to Wilsonville High School to participate in an invitational meet against a number of 6A schools as well as a few 4A and 5A schools. The team was able to enter up to three people in each event, which allowed for the top varsity athletes to compete.

The weather brought perfect conditions for the meet to take place, as it was dry and sunny, making the track and field in prime condition for the meet.

La Salle found success through multiple events and many athletes achieved new PRs.

Senior Katherine Sunderland placed second in women’s varsity pole vault with a PR of 10’0”.

Senior Emma Gall placed third in the women’s varsity pole vault with a height of 9’6”.

Sophomore Maya Crimin placed third, and got a PR, in the women’s varsity 3000 meter with a time of 10:58.47.

Junior Sean Snow placed seventh in the men’s varsity 800 meter with a time of 2:03.99, also reaching his PR.

The next track meet is on Tuesday, April 18, at Wilsonville against Milwaukie, and the next invitational meet is the John Oliver Invitational at Central High School on Friday, April 21.
