On Monday, Jan. 9, La Salle varsity girls basketball beat Hood River Valley with an astounding final score of 68-26. 

The team took an early lead of 11-6 after the first quarter. The second quarter was no different, with a score of 35-13. 

The third quarter was played with respect to the mercy rule, resulting in an unstopped clock. The Falcons went into the fourth quarter with a 31-point lead.

The top shooter of the game was Ella Wedin with 29 points, 18 of which were from three-pointers. 

This victory leaves the team with an overall record of 9-4 and a league record of 2-1. Their next game will be on Jan. 12 at Hillsboro.
