La Salle Breaks Ground on Saalfeld Athletic Center

On Tuesday, March 3, roughly 50 La Salle administrators, students, staff, parents, and donors gathered at the site of the future Saalfeld Athletic Center for an official groundbreaking ceremony, marking the beginning of La Salle’s latest major construction project.

Speeches were given by several La Salle administrators, as well as other staff members, including Executive Director Mr. Matthew Winningham; Ms. Andrea Burns, the Vice President of Foundation and Major Gifts; Principal and President Mr. Andrew Kuffner; and Mr. Chris George, La Salle’s Athletic Director. Attendees were also invited to enjoy refreshments before the ceremony.

There was also a photo opportunity for attendees to pose with golden shovels and hard hats to mark the official groundbreaking.

The project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2020, and will include new multi-use spaces, a new fitness center, replaced gymnasium floor, administrative offices, and new boys and girls locker rooms.
