Yazmin Lopez-Estevez, Staff Reporter
Freshman Yazmin Lopez-Estevez has lived in Woodburn, Oregon for her whole life. Yazmin has always been a talkative person, and you will usually find her talking to someone or laughing with her best friends. Beside being social, she likes to focus and do her work and strives for excellence.
Yazmin loves to listen to music by Ivan Cornejo, Frank Ocean, Beabadoobee, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake. While she listens to her jams, she likes to play basketball and works hard to become better to not only be proud of herself, but to make her dad proud.
La Salle wasn’t always her first pick. She wanted to follow the easy route — Woodburn High School, a school where she knows a lot of people. Despite this, the environment La Salle provided has changed her mind since.
On days she leaves early for school, she will stop by Dutch Bros and pick up a hot cocoa, one of her favorite drinks to have there.
A perfect day for Yazmin is going to the fair with her friends and testing her fears by going on all the scary rides.
