Photo Story: Girls Varsity Soccer Bested by North Eugene 2–3

Varsity girls soccer played in their last non-league match of the season at home against North Eugene High School on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 6:30 p.m. The game was back and forth between the two, yet the Falcons came out on the losing side with a final score of 2-3. 

Their next match is their first league game, and it is taking place at Canby High School on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. They are entering league play ranked #15 in 5A, with a current record of 1-4-1.

Through occasional rain showers, the La Salle football team played Hillsboro High School. The game ended in a score of 28-0 with La Salle winning their fourth league game of the season.

The Falcons varsity soccer team hosted West Linn High School in their last game of the regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m.

The football team is currently ranked #14 in the league with an overall record of 6-2.

Eli Batcheller is currently a junior. Eli lived in Oregon City for around 16 years, until moving to Oak Grove in the summer after his Sophomore year.  His favorite part of all of his classes are his friends around him that he has been able to make. One of the most important things he finds is the community at La Salle in all aspects.  He originally chose to go to La Salle because of his older sister, and because of the quality of education compared to public school. When he got to La Salle, he found more than he expected, finding great friends and a good community that he could immerse himself in.  Eli loves listening to music and talking and spending time with his friends — some of his favorite activities being going to the river or getting clothes, especially with friends. His favorite artist is Frank Ocean, someone he has always loved.
