The Dutch Bros. on Molalla Avenue in Oregon City is where I buy my favorite drinks.

The Rebel drink from Dutch Bros. is a popular drink amongst teens in the Pacific Northwest. While Dutch Bros. has limited locations, mostly located on the West Coast, it has become a phenomenon in high school culture. As someone who has been a long-time fan of Dutch Bros., here’s my take on some of their most popular Rebel drinks:

Ray of Sunshine

Flavors: Blackberry, peach, and grapefruit

Rating: 3.5/5

The average Dutch Bros. Rebel tends to be a very sweet treat; however, this drink has a tart punch thanks to the grapefruit. The combination of sweet and tart pairings of these three fruity flavors makes for a delicious and refreshing drink. That being said, the biggest downfall of this flavor array is the grapefruit; it tends to be overpowering compared to peach. I think the best improvement to this drink would be to incorporate more peach into the mixture to add a balance to the flavors.

Dinosaur Egg

Flavors: Blue raspberry with strawberry, white chocolate, and almond drizzle

Rating: 4.2/5

This drink is by far geared toward those who have a strong sweet tooth. The Dinosaur Egg Rebel is a sweet drink, which is due to the combination of the sweet strawberry flavor and an extra boost of sweetness with the white chocolate drizzle added in.

Shark Attack

Flavors: Blue raspberry, coconut, and lime, with a pomegranate float

Rating: 3.8/5

The Shark Attack Rebel is easily one of Dutch Bros.’ most popular Rebel flavor profiles. While I would consider this drink to be one that you must try at least once, I think that the Shark Attack is overhyped. This drink packs a tropical punch, but I find that it is missing a piece that would make this drink unique. The coconut flavor of this drink often becomes overpowering and hides the flavors of blue raspberry and lime. Overall, I think that with a little tweaking to the recipe, this drink could easily become one of my favorites.

Aftershock

Flavors: Strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, and lime

Rating: 4.2/5

The Aftershock Rebel is often the first drink to appear when you open the Dutch Bros.’ Rebel menu. If I am just in the mood for something that I know will be good every time, the Aftershock is my go-to. The flavor combination in this drink is basic, yet I never get tired of it. All in all, the Aftershock is a reliable staple that I would recommend to any first-time Rebel drinker.
