Concert venues are requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event.

As society tries to return to a somewhat normal state while still recovering from the pandemic, finding ways to reintroduce activities in a way that is safe is important in maintaining people’s sense of normalcy. Thousands of concerts were canceled or postponed after COVID-19 hit in March 2020.

States across the U.S. are all at a crossroads when it comes to vaccination and mask requirements, but protocols are in place for both in a way that allows concerts to take place.

There are many upcoming concerts in and around the Portland metro area. With little restriction, vaccinated people and individuals who test negative for COVID-19 are able to see their favorite artists live. 

Here are some upcoming concerts you can buy tickets for.

October 19 – Jeremy Zucker

The increasingly popular artist is making his first tour stop in Portland. Zucker grew to popularity after releasing his first EP in 2015, and continued to climb the charts with the tracks “talk is overrated” featuring blackbear, and his biggest hit to date, “comethru.” 

Zucker is touring with his new album, which was officially released on Oct. 1, “CRUSHER.”

The Roseland Theatre requires attendees to have proof of vaccination via COVID-19 vaccination card or a negative COVID-19 test. Entry requirements are subject to change and should be reviewed per venue.

November 7th – Band of Horses

This Alternative Rock band who emerged back in 2004 will be at the Roseland Theater performing many of their essential tunes. Their setlist from Lollapalooza included both old and new records, which can be expected for their current tour.

November 9th – Pink Sweat$

Receiving his name from his apparel worn when in the recording studio, Pink Sweat$ is known for his R&B hits consisting of only guitar and his vocals. Before gaining his own fame, Pink Sweat$ was known for writing music for other artists.

Pink Sweat$ is touring with his new debut album “PINK PLANET” which was released last February.

November 13th – Playboi Carti

Gaining his following with the help of A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti has become popular as an established rapper and high fashion idol. Playboi Carti combines simple yet spunky hits that have grown to top charts over the years. 

The Theater of Clouds inside the Moda Center requires proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours before the event.

March 3rd – The Weeknd

Famously known for his R&B hits soaked in dark, beautiful sounds and lyrics, the Canadian artist can be heard live. The artist quickly found his way around the internet and blew up in no time with his trifecta of mixtapes released in 2017 on “Trilogy.”

All guests ages 12 and up are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide proof of either a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours of the event or a negative lab-based rapid test within 48 hours of the event. All attendees must wear a mask at all times while on the Rose Quarter campus and inside the arena.

March 29th – Dua Lipa

The alpha female pop solo singer delivers euphoric pop hits that will get you up from your seat or going hard in the mosh pit. The Grammy-winning artist is on tour with her album “Future Nostalgia.”

All guests ages 12 and up are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide proof of either a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours of the event or a negative lab-based rapid test within 48 hours of the event. All attendees must wear a mask at all times while on the Rose Quarter campus and inside the arena.

April 13th – BROCKHAMPTON

The incredible mix of rappers, singers, producers, directors, and designers who make up BROCKHAMPTON will be touring with their new album “ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE PLUS PACK.” The group opens a new door into the hip-hop/R&B world and curates songs that are more than just art, but a perspective of life.
