Hungry but too tired to spend energy making a meal? Here are five snacks that are easy to make at home.

Josephine Robinson, Staff Reporter

As a high schooler, there are two pretty common feelings at the end of the day: exhaustion and hunger. Here are five great snacks to make for yourself or others when feeling this way.

Peanut Butter Banana Wrap

One of my favorite snacks as a child was a peanut butter banana wrap. It has always been an easy-to-make recipe, especially when running late in the morning in need of something for lunch. It only has three ingredients and takes about five minutes to make. The ingredients for this recipe are peanut butter, 1 banana, and 1 tortilla.

Microwave Nachos

My all-time favorite snack to make when I am feeling hungry is microwave nachos. The basis of the recipe is very simple, with only two necessary ingredients consisting of tortilla chips and shredded cheese. It takes a max of five minutes to make and can easily be personalized to your liking. For example, sometimes when I have leftover chicken or beef from previous meals, I add them to my nacho plate. You can also add salsa or guacamole, among other toppings to them.

Yogurt parfaits are a healthy and easy snack, especially good for when you don’t have time to make a big breakfast. The variety of parfaits are endless and can be customized in any way you like.
