Warm Pumpkin Spice Lattes, crisp fallen leaves that crunch under your shoes, and all things that go bump in the night tend to be associated with fall. Among those things reminiscent of fall are certain TV shows.

“Gilmore Girls”

“Gilmore Girls” is a TV series following the life of Rory Gilmore and her mother, Lorelai Gilmore. The story starts as Rory begins her sophomore year of high school, posing it as a perfect show to watch as you slide back into your own school routine. Through first detentions, driving mishaps, family dinners, and goose attacks, it’s hard not to fall in love with the cast of eccentric characters.

“Over the Garden Wall”

This animated show is great for artists as well as those with a general appreciation for art. The series explores a mysterious forest alongside brothers Wirt and Greg. With only one season, this show of whimsical creatures is a quick feel-good” binge. In addition to the strange storylines and lovely animation, this show has a soundtrack that serves as a fall playlist on its own.

“My Babysitter’s a Vampire”

More than anything, “My Babysitters a Vampire” is a nostalgic show for anyone who watched it growing up. If you have the issue of finding appropriate TV shows for the entire family, this series is perfect for the fall season. Almost acting as a vampire spoof, the humor lands nicely with all ages.

“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”

First debuting in an “Archie’s Madhouse” comic, Sabrina Spellman goes onto an iconic animated series and eventually this darker live-action version, “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.” In this series, Sabrina is assisted by her aunts Hilda and Zelda Spellman in navigating the balance between the witch world and the human world.

“Scream”

Named after the iconic horror movie “Scream,” this TV series also follows a slasher storyline with suspense and well-timed moments of humor. This show is perfect for lovers of scary movies who are on the lookout for the same experience drawn out a little longer. From red herrings to jump scares, this show has it all.
