Chicago rapper Jared Higgins, known as “JuiceWrld,” first entered the SoundCloud scene in 2018 with his breakout single “Lucid Dreams.” He then released his first full-length album “Goodbye and Good Riddance” on May 23, 2018

By early 2019, JuiceWrld had attracted a massive following, selling out shows all over the world. Over the span of two years, JuiceWrld amassed a large net worth, often flaunting his luxurious lifestyle in his songs and on social media platforms such as Instagram.

On a darker side, JuiceWrld also took to his music to open up about his battle with drug dependency and heartbreak.

His highly anticipated second album,“Death Race For Love,” arrived on March 8, 2019. JuiceWrld’s “Lucid Dreams” and “All Girls Are The Same” were his first Billboard hot 100 hits, peaking at number 2 and 74 respectively.

His music resonated with a generally younger audience. Sophomore Jacob Waterman attended his “Death Race For Love” show. “His concert had really positive energy, everyone was having a good time,” Waterman said.

With his career just taking off, JuiceWrld’s life was tragically cut short when he suffered a fatal seizure at the Chicago-Midway airport on Dec. 8, 2019.

“I didn’t believe at first, it didn’t feel real,” Waterman said.

JuiceWrld’s death was reportedly linked to a prescription opioid overdose. His demise was a shock to listeners in the rap community.

“Lyrical lemonade” founder, Cole Bennett, took to Twitter to send his condolences to the deceased:
