Tab Obuchowski, Staff Reporter

Sophomore Tab (Tabitha) Obuchowski lives in Happy Valley and came to La Salle following her sister's path. Before La Salle, Tab attended El Puente Elementary, a Spanish immersion school in Milwaukie, and then Christ the King for middle school to be close to La Salle.

Music is very important to Tab as she is always open to a new genre or artist recommendation. Her interest in music started when her mom signed Tab up for piano lessons at three years old, and was cultivated by time spent listening to rock records with her dad and many car rides jamming to indie music with her sister.

Though it is Tab’s first semester in Journalism, you can find her active in several communities at La Salle. She is involved in the arts as a member of the theater community, as well as being a part of the choir and serving as president of the Fiber Arts club. She also played on the varsity volleyball team this past fall.

Tab enjoys exploring nature, having visited 21 national parks with her family, which includes her mom, dad, older sister, and younger brother. She hopes to continue this path of creativity, possibly pursuing a career in the theater arts or psychology because she is interested in learning about and understanding people.
