Sophomore Jonah Ward moved from his home state of California to Oregon at the age of 11, and he enjoys the experience of a smaller city.

Jonah’s free time, which comes scarce, is devoted to working on his cars, fishing, and playing the cello. 

Jonah also has a passion for art, as he loves drawing and listening to music — mostly old country and classic rock. Jonah will also occasionally play classical music, but only on his cello.

He enjoys most aspects of school, however his favorite class is history, which he has a passion for both inside and outside of school, spending hours of his time immersed in historical biographies.

Outside of school Jonah devotes a considerable amount of time to his job, where he works at an auto repair shop and gas station on McLoughlin Boulevard. He loves the work ethic and discipline it teaches. 

Jonah plans to attend either CalArts or the University of Michigan to pursue a degree in automotive design.
