In the fifth episode of Sweet or Sour, Season Two, junior Clover Martin and senior Gwen Brown welcome their first special guest, science teacher Ms. Alayna Enos. Ms. Enos chose to cover the French six-member band, L’Impératrice, and their newest release, “Pulsar” — their first album in three years — which came out on June 7, spanning 40 minutes and 10 tracks long.

About the Contributors
Clover Martin, Assistant Editor
Junior Clover Martin was born in Pacifica, a small town on the California coastline, and moved to Oregon when she was seven years old. She still visits her hometown during the summers, often returning for music expos or festivals with her father, who works as a composer.
Growing up immersed in music, Clover has dabbled in almost any instrument you could think of, though her main focus has always been the drums. It’s rare to see her walking through the halls without AirPods in. She’s never confined herself to just one genre, but her all-time favorite artist is Fiona Apple, and she has been listening to her since she moved to Oregon.
Outside of writing for The Falconer, Clover balances her free time writing projects with schoolwork and is currently focused on getting more of her creative stories published. Her favorite classes so far are AP English 3 and Honors French 3.
When she’s not found darting around the hallways, she can usually be found in the theater, working behind the scenes running spotlights or managing the lightboard.
Gwen Brown, Staff Reporter
Senior Gwen Brown loves to experience new things and isn’t scared to get dirty or wet. She spends a lot of her time outside of school exploring the Pacific Northwest, where she’s lived her entire life.
Growing up with easy access to Mt. Hood and the Oregon Coast, she was swimming through waves and skiing down slopes if she wasn’t camping at a lake.
Nowadays, Gwen tries to find time to snowboard in between her wrestling and homework schedule. She has wrestled since her sophomore year at Cleveland High School and hopes to go to state this year.
You can often find her with headphones on, nodding along to music, which she would love to talk about if you ask her. She tries to keep an open mind when it comes to music, and enjoys listening to a variety of genres, favoring electronic the most.
Once she graduates, she hopes to travel for college and major in marine biology.
