A close game against Canby High School took place on Friday, April 19 at 4:00 p.m. that resulted in a 5-6 loss for the La Salle varsity softball team.
After La Salle gained an early lead in the first inning, Canby came back in the top of the third and went up 2-1. The teams continued to go back and forth and at the top of the sixth they were tied. The sixth inning was a high scoring one with Canby gaining three runs and La Salle getting two, putting Canby up 6-5. The falcons were unable to come back in the final inning resulting in a win for Canby.
Sophomore Eleanor Baker, senior Layne Portash, and sophomore Ruby George all led the team with 2 hits a piece.
