An hour before the Christmas Concert, the Advanced and Beginning Guitar, Band, and Choir classes headed over to the theater to prepare and practice for their Christmas performance on the morning of Dec. 13 in front of the school.
Before they could start their performances, they had to do a number of things to prepare, from warming up their voices to making sure they knew their position on stage.
The choir practiced walking up and down the risers to make sure their presentation looked as professional as they could. Band members tuned their instruments and practiced rehearsing their solos and songs as a group as well as with the choir for their joined songs. Guitar players tuned their guitars as well, strumming them to make sure they were all on the same note during their performance.
Not only do the performers have to prepare, but so do the people helping the performance. Junior Phoebe Sandholm, the Director of Lights, had to move the light fixtures into the right spot to help the audience see the performers more clearly and adjusted the volume of the microphones during the performance.
Choir and Guitar teacher Mr. Wild and band director Mr. Ryan Gabbart conducted their students to make sure that they were ready to perform their Christmas program for students to enjoy. They also set up the microphones so that the audience was able to hear the performers.
Behind the stage, performers were able to relax until it was time for them to perform.
