Future Falcon families visited La Salle’s Open House on Sunday Oct. 22, “touring the campus, meeting teachers and coaches, asking questions about our exceptional programs, watching presentations and performances, and more,” Director of Admissions Kelsey Hui said.
Open House is a way for families to get a sense of what La Salle has to offer, and approximately 800 people attended this year’s event.
This annual event is when ”prospective families with students in any grade level are invited to learn more about La Salle Prep by touring the campus,” Ms. Hui said, noting that this is the biggest admissions event of the year.
“I was very pleased with the event overall,” she said. “For many families, this event is their first impression of us, and I think we rocked it.”
Along with Ms. Hui, there were many other faculty and staff members helping out. “This event could not happen without all the faculty and staff and at least a third of the student body,” she said.
The people she would like to thank the most are Ms. Terra Clarke and Ms. Sadie Espinosa, Ms. Sarah Liebler, the Administrative Team, Luke Martin, a senior who gave a welcome speech, and the student ambassadors, who led tours and demonstrations.
Since Ms. Hui only started her new role at the beginning of this school year, this was her first Open House at La Salle. She wants everyone to know what a great school La Salle is and how welcoming the faculty members are.
“La Salle has so much to offer,” she said. “We’re a college prep school in a multitude of ways — exceptional academic programs with caring teachers, a variety of opportunities to earn college credit, and we’re continuing to expand offerings to prepare for life and adulthood. Every day is a good day to be a Falcon.”
