On Tuesday, Nov. 8, No. 3 La Salle varsity boys soccer fell to No. 2 McKay in the semifinal round of playoffs. The final score of the game was 1-2.
The team’s goal was scored in the first half of the game by senior Nate Taylor.
With 15 seconds left on the clock in the second half McKay scored, tying the game 1-1. The game then moved into overtime, consisting of two 10 minute halves.
In the first 10 minutes of overtime, McKay scored the final goal of the night.
The loss in the playoffs ended the boys soccer season, and the team’s nine seniors closed out their high school soccer careers.
McKay went on to win the state championship against West Albany on Saturday, Nov. 12.
