Mr. Roth
Science teacher Mr. Eric Roth suggests “Endurance: Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage,” the story of Ernest Shackleton’s failed expedition to Antarctica.
This non-fiction adventure book is described by Mr. Roth as “intense [and] fascinating,” and he feels that within it there are “many lessons about leadership, decision making, and humanity.”
Mr. Roth has read this book twice, and feels it is a “must read” because Shackelton is a heroic figure. “It reminds me how tough and resourceful humans can be,” he said.
According to Mr. Roth, if you have read and enjoyed “The Grand Canyon Expedition” by John Powell, then you should check this book out.
