Restaurant Review: Rose City Taqueria

Michaela Carter, Staff Reporter

Struggling to find an inexpensive restaurant with tasty food? Well, the Falconer is here to help out. This is the first in a series featuring mouthwatering restaurants that are either around the Portland Metro area and that are worth the trip, or within a close distance to La Salle.

Rose City Taqueria:

Location: North Portland; 7007 N Fessenden St, Portland, OR 97203

What’s on the menu: Mostly Mexican food, but there is also a variety of American food, including different types of hamburgers.

What you need to know: This restaurant is well worth going to, even though it is far away.

Prices: The prices are very inexpensive and you get very large portions for a low price. A signature dish is the Carne Asada Fries, which offer a delicious and generous serving for only $5.50.

Rating: I give this restaurant 4.5/5 stars. I took off half a star due to the length of the wait time, but on the brighter side, I know my food is most definitely fresh and delicious.

Interesting fact about the building: This location has been home to a number of previous restaurants, none of which lasted very long. But once Rose City took over this space on June 5th, 2015, the business has had a steady stream of satisfied customers.
