Senior Survivor is Back for Season 2

Katie Moreland, Assistant Editor

The time has come for Senior Survivor Season 2.  Juniors and seniors from student council have been working diligently the past few months to plan for season 2 of this exciting, end of the year event.

Senior Survivor will be starting on the evening of Tuesday, May 24th and it will conclude during the assembly on St. La Salle Day, Friday, May 27th.

If you don’t know what Senior Survivor is, it is a competition between 14 seniors who will be put into either the red or blue tribe to participate in team building and elimination challenges. As the competition continues, losing teams will have to vote on tribe members to eliminate after challenges. Then, towards the end of survivor, the remaining participants will compete for the individual prize ($50) which will occur at the end of St. La Salle Day.

Applications will be reviewed by members of the Executive Council, along with Mrs. Banta, Mr. Hortsch, Mr. Barba, and Mr. Devine. The selection committee will create what they feel is the best mixture of personality and ability for the competition.

A new change for Survivor this year is that each participant will be fundraising for an organization of their choice. They will have the opportunity to fundraise money prior to the competition, along with during the competition.

In addition, the Survivor committee is hoping to increase the nights spent at school from two to three nights.

Regarding the challenges, the Survivor planning committee cannot reveal any of their secrets; however, they have confirmed that no challenges will be repeated from last year.
