7 Creative and Easy Mother’s Day Gifts
May 6, 2016
Mother’s Day is this Sunday and sometimes it can be difficult to think of a gift for your mom. Instead of spending a bunch of money on your mom this year maybe try some of the fun, easy, creative, and thoughtful gifts listed below.
1. Breakfast in bed
Let your mom sleep in as much as she pleases, but making her a breakfast for when she wakes up is an easy and fun gift that most mothers would appreciate! Even just bringing her coffee, a scrambled egg, and a thoughtful card is nice.
2. Buy/make a mug
You can get a plain white mug and write a nice note in sharpie such as “Happy Mother’s day!” If you want to get more creative you can use paint to place your handprint on the mug.
3. Make a scrapbook
Making a scrapbook is a genuine homemade gift that your mom will treasure forever. A cute idea would be starting with pictures of you and your mom when you were much younger and ending with a recently taken picture.
4. Flowers
Getting flowers alone is a cute idea but to make the gift more special, paint some mason jars her favorite color, maybe even painting her first initial on the front, and put the flowers in them.
5. Candles
Being a mom is a stressful job. Get her a nice candle or two to help relieve her stress and to make the house smell nice. Along with this you could clean up the house to further help her relieve her stress.
6. Jewelry
If you can not think of an exact piece of jewelry to get for your mom it is always safe to get a necklace or bracelet with a heart on it. To make this gift idea even more special, try to make it yourself!
7. Handprints/footprints
A classic mother’s day gift is to put paint on your hands and/or feet and ‘finger paint’ your hand/footprint in the shape of a heart. This is especially cute and fun if you have younger siblings.

One Christmas my sister and I made mugs for our parents and they loved them. 10/10 would recommend.
