He is ready to graduate from La Salle and meet new people. Jalontae is looking forward to living on his own and working more often. His best memory from high school was the football games. He will miss Mr. Krantz and hearing his endless amount of stories.
Katheryn Rapson:
She is feeling good and ready to go to college at Oregon State and start a new chapter in her life. Katheryn is excited for new experiences and meeting new people in college. She is looking forward to exploring what she wants to pursue in her future. She wants to find a job and work towards her goal of becoming a pediatrician. Her favorite memories of high school were going to the football games and dances so that she could socialize and be with her friends. Her favorite teacher was Ms. Elliot because she was her TA for two years, and she had her as a teacher sophomore year.
Sarah Grant:
Sarah is feeling excited to take the next step in her life. At the same time, she is feeling nervous about where to go for college and what classes to take. She is considering either Portland State University or Central Washington. She is looking forward to having more freedom after leaving high school. Sarah’s best memory of high school was participating in cross country and making friends. She will remember Mrs. Moore the most, because she helped her with her obstacles and gave her more self confidence.
Nadine Prentice:
As the year is coming to an end, Nadine is feeling a little sad but also excited to take the next step in her life. She is both nervous and excited about college because she is getting older and growing up but she is looking forward to starting over and meeting new people. She plans on attending the University of Portland. She is looking forward to having more freedom after leaving high school. One of her favorite memories from high school was lunches outside with friends. Nadine will remember Mr. Dreisbach because she loves how sarcastic he is.
Truman Rae:
As the year is coming to an end Truman is feeling sad that he is not going to be able to spend as much time with his friends. As things are coming to a close, it caused him to look back at things with a fonder eye towards the earlier times of high school and examining how he has developed throughout the years. However, he thinks that it is nice for the year to come to an end because of all the stress from AP tests. Truman is feeling excited about college because he likes the prospect of going to a new place, making new friends, and being in a new setting. After leaving high school Truman is looking forward to seeing how he changes, because he feels like he has changed a lot since eighth grade and he wants to see what’s left for him. He plans on growing out a beard as well. He is excited to see what profession he falls into and what things interest him since he doesn’t have a strong idea right now but feels that it will become more clear in the next few years.
Some of his best memories from high school were his time on the track and cross country teams, and running with his best friends. He also always enjoys St. La Salle day because he’s hanging out with friends but it is also in a school atmosphere. He also really enjoyed being a part of the play. Truman will remember Mr. Swanson as he leaves for college because he was a life changing person who made a positive impact on his life.
Sam Copperstone:
Sam has mixed feelings as the year is coming to an end because she has been with her classmates for four years now and saying goodbye will be hard but at the same time she is excited for what the future will bring. She is excited for college because she is staying local by going to Portland State University, so she is already familiar and comfortable with the environment. Sam plans on studying psychology in college. Her favorite memory from high school was going to dances and she can’t wait for prom. She is looking forward to meeting new people and getting her life together. Sam will remember Mr. Barstow the most because his class made her open her eyes and see the world in a new perspective.
Chris Elkhal:
Chris is feeling a little nervous about where his life will go and what’s going to happen after high school as the year is coming to an end. Looking back he has some regrets like moving away from friends and not being able to spend as much time with them. Chris is nervous about college because he enjoys the safety of La Salle but at the same time it is getting a little small for him and he is ready to move on to bigger and better things. After leaving high school, Chris is looking forward to more adventures with friends and having more freedom. Chris’ best memory during high school was when he and a couple of friends went up to the Gorge for the weekend and went zip lining, mini biking, watched a couple movies, and played Nintendo. A teacher who left an imprint on Chris was Mrs. Bromley, because she pushed him and encouraged him to be involved in activities both inside and outside of school.
