Students Look Forward to Exciting Plans Over Spring Break

Spring Break is only a few days away for La Salle. Students and staff members are looking forward to the week off to go on vacation or just to relax at home. Here is a look at some of the things that members of the La Salle community are planning to do this Spring Break:
Tony Bulbes, freshman
Tony is going to Seattle for a few days with his parents to experience the city’s most famous attractions.
“I want to go to Pike Place market, look at the gum wall, go to the aquarium and maybe do a Segway tour.”

Rafie Alvarado, freshman
Ralfie is planning to stay local and take it easy over the break.
“I’m gonna stay at home and hang out with my friends. We’re going to go shopping at Lloyd Center probably. I like the food court in general.”

Courtney Sanders, sophomore
Courtney is going on the school’s trip to Spain.
“It is my first time out of the country. I am looking forward to going to mass at a cathedral on Easter Sunday, since we are going during Holy Week there.”

Sabrina Sandberg, sophomore
Sabrina will be in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on an annual trip with her family.
“We stay at a hotel and normally hang out. We’ll go out into the city, go to restaurants, go to the beach, and mostly just relax.”

Katie Gage, sophomore
Katie is staying at a lodge for three nights on Mt. Hood over Spring Break.
“I’m excited to go skiing at Timberline Ski Resort over break.”

Lucas Michaels, junior
Lucas will be staying in Oregon and doing local activities.
“Over Spring Break I’m looking forward to relaxing. I am going trout fishing on Timothy Lake or somewhere around Mt. Hood for a few days.”

Abby Vincent, junior
Abby is going to London, England and Paris, France for the entire week.
“I plan to visit some of the regular tourist attractions like Big Ben or the Eiffel Tower.”

Taylor Westermeijer, senior
Taylor is looking forward to going to Phoenix to be in the sun with her family.
“I’m going to Arizona with my mom and her boyfriend and my step sister and we’re going to swim and just tour the place. I like the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and I like visiting ASU [because] it’s a pretty cool campus.”

Paige Ferland, senior
Paige is turning 18 this weekend.
“I am going out to dinner with family and friends, going on a hike in the gorge, and [getting] a tanning membership.”

Mr. Mainard, Teacher
Mr. Mainard has a busy spring break planned including remodeling, celebrating his son’s birthday, and multiple days at church.
“I am going to remodel a room in my house so most of my family is going down to be with my wife’s family, but I’m keeping my oldest two sons at home and they’re going to help me build and do some sheet rock and framing and some wiring and electrical work.”
