Black Friday Deals: The Best Stores to Visit
November 18, 2015
The Thanksgiving week off is quickly approaching, but there is one more event to look forward to other than Thanksgiving: Black Friday. Although meant to be on Friday, hence the name, Black Friday actually starts in most stores Thursday evening. Despite the majority of retail stores being opened by at least midnight, some others, including REI, have decided to opt out of the shopping frenzy to let their workers spend time with family.
Here is a list of several of the top deals to look forward to:
- Walmart: This is traditionally the place where many of the most aggressive black Friday shoppers go, which is fitting, given that you can save up to $300 from the moment the doors open at 6:00pm.
- Target: If you are looking to get Christmas presents for your relatives and some free gift cards for yourself, Target is where you want to go. Depending on what you purchase, it is possible to save up to $400 while getting a free Target gift card for various amounts, with just about every purchase. The doors open at 6:00pm.
- Fred Meyer: Raved about for their 50% off socks on Black Friday, Fred Meyer also offers half off of many nitems throughout the store. Along with this, they are offering free coffee and doughnuts and open at 5am.
- Macy’s: Macy’s plays a big part in Thanksgiving morning, putting on the parade, but at night they focus on great sales such as 30% to 75% off most items starting at 6pm.
- Pink/Victoria’s Secret: Sales of up to 90% off on some items will be offered at both stores. Be ready at 6pm to get the offers before supplies run out.
- Tommy Hilfiger: Not much information has been released yet about exact prices, but doors will be opening at 12am.
- Sephora: This popular makeup store is a great place to find items up to 80% off. All locations will be opening at 6pm.
- Forever 21 : Already a reasonably priced store, prices will be dropping all the way down to $3 on some items. Get this great deal starting at 3pm.
- Nike: Sales can be found online and at the outlet stores, with varying levels of discounts. Doors are expected to open at 4am.
- Pacsun : Although they haven’t yet announced when their doors will open, Pacsun’s sales are always something to look forward to. Storewide, there will be a sale of buy one get one 50% off.
- American Eagle: The doors will open at 6pm, and the Black Friday sale wilol include buy-one get-one 50% off throughout the entire store.
