Here’s our weekly look at the top NCAA football games worth watching this weekend:

Saturday, Oct 3

13 Alabama at 8 Georgia (12:30 pm, CBS)
In probably the most intriguing match-up of the weekend, the Alabama Crimson Tide will travel to Georgia to face the Bulldogs, who are a 2.5 point favorite. Alabama bounced back last week after a disappointing loss to Ole Miss. Alabama’s defense looked unlike themselves, giving up 43 points in the loss. Georgia has won all four of their games pretty easily, putting up 48+ points in three of them. Since Georgia’s running back, Nick Chubb, has been dominant, the Bulldogs’ play action offense has had much success. Georgia ranks first in the SEC in completion percentage (78.6%) on play action passes this season and 2nd in yards per attempt (11.4). The deciding factor will be how Alabama’s defense can handle the Bulldogs offense.
Prediction: Alabama 34, Georgia 27

Texas Tech at 5 Baylor (12:30 pm, ESPN2)
Last week, Texas Tech lost 55-52 to the third ranked TCU Horned Frogs, in the most exciting game this season. After almost pulling off the huge upset, Texas Tech will try again at Baylor. Baylor is 3-0 with three blowout wins in the young season. The Baylor Bears are averaging an unbelievable 64 points per game, while Texas Tech is averaging 54.5 points per game. This match-up has the potential to be a complete shootout. If you like high scoring college football games, this one is for you.
Prediction: Baylor 54, Texas Tech 38

3 Ole Miss at 25 Florida (4:00 pm, ESPN)
The Ole Miss Rebels have been one of the most surprising teams so far this season. After a great showing in their upset over Alabama, the Rebels only beat Vanderbilt 27-16, while pulling away late. The Florida Gators are 4-0 after a nail biter win over Tennessee. The Gators have one of the best secondaries in college football, and cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III will look to lock up Rebels star receiver Laquon Treadwill. The Gators defense will play a big role if they want to upset the 3rd ranked Ole Miss Rebels, as they are a 7 point underdog.
Prediction: Ole Miss 24, Florida 13

6 Notre Dame at 12 Clemson (5:00 pm, ABC)
The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame have won 2 straight games behind backup QB Deshone Kizer. A big question for the Irish is how the sophomore QB will do on the road in Death Valley. Death Valley is known to be the loudest and most hostile stadium in the country. Clemson’s defense has been solid up to this point, giving up only a total of 37 points. The marquee match-up for this game will be Notre Dame’s offense against Clemson’s defense, and will depend on if Kizer can stay calm and collected. The outcome of this game will show who’s a contender for the playoffs, and who isn’t.
Prediction: Clemson 21, Notre Dame 17

Oregon at Colorado (7:00 pm, ESPN)
The Oregon Ducks are currently unranked for the first time since 2009, after an embarrassing 62-20 loss to Utah. The Ducks looked horrible in pretty much every aspect of that game. Oregon’s offense couldn’t get much started, only scoring 13 points all game until garbage minutes in the 4th quarter. More importantly, the Ducks defense looked atrocious. The defense for Oregon has been a weak point all season, but giving up 62 points to a team that only put up 24 points on Utah State is embarrassing. The Ducks should be able to run away with this one over a not-so-strong Colorado Buffalos team, but it will be interesting to see how they can bounce back after two early losses.
Prediction: Oregon 45, Colorado 28
