With prom quickly approaching, many La Salle students are anticipating getting asked to prom in the most exciting and creative way. Students begin to prepare for one of the most important events to high schoolers as they spend a lot of their time dedicated to buying their dress, tux and other necessities. Prom is a special event to many high schoolers as it is one of the last dances the graduating class will be spending together.

As a girl, there are many extravagant and cute ways I would want to be asked to prom. From a very simple promposal to an all out creative one, any girl would be very happy to be asked in a thoughtful way. Here are a few ideas and ways you can ask your special someone to prom:

1. One really common way to ask someone to prom is to ask with a sign at a sporting event or incorporating their sport into the promposal. These are a cute and creative way as they will be able to see it during or after their game.
2. Promposing with flowers. Showing up to school with flowers shows that you are very romantic and ready to ask someone to prom.
3. Get creative by baking a cake or some cupcakes and decorate it however you’d like. Food is a great way to ask someone to prom because you can specialize it to their interests and yours as well.
4. Because balloons are popular you could ask by decorating their car with balloons. Balloons show how special the event is and can be used in different ways that are cute and different than how others ask their date. You could also decorate their car with sticky notes as well.
5. If you and your special someone like being outdoors, get some candles and spell out prom. This is a very romantic and creative way to ask your date to prom.
6. If you want to go all out you could surprise your date with stuff they like. Buy their favorite candy, stuffed animal and foods and decorate it to the way you like. This shows how well you know her and what she likes.
7. Grab some of her best friends and make this big. You and her friends could create a scavenger hunt and surprise her. Start by making little notes and spread them out to creative places. She and her friends would go around to solve your hunt.
8. Write prom in chalk on the street and take your special someone on a walk so that you can be together as you walk past it and be able to see the excitement.
9. Write prom onto any type of board and then cut it out into puzzle pieces.  When your date finds it, they can put it together and enjoy the surprise.
10. Buy your special someone things pertaining to their sport or their favorite activity. This way they will get something useful and a great prom date.

These are just a few ways you can ask your special someone to prom. Prom is one of the highlights of high school and many girls are just waiting to be asked. So take these ideas and get ready to ask your date to prom!
