April 15, 2015
La Salle students not only have the responsibility of getting their academic studies done on time, but several also have jobs they attend to. Here’s a look at a few students who juggle school responsibilities and work.

Studying and hanging out with friends aren’t her only priorities. La Salle junior Rose Sprauer currently works at Riverside Golf and Country Club. She works twice a week and has several jobs that she does at Riverside such as tending to customers and working on the golf course. She enjoys her job because she can interact with customers and employees. Of course, the pay is another plus that she likes. When asked about her days at work she responded saying, “sometimes work is slow but other times it’s a lot of fun to interact with customers and coworkers. I’ve never found myself bored at work.”

His love for ice cream was part of the reason Alex Berger, a junior at La Salle, decided to work at Baskin Robbins. One could assume how much fun it is to work with ice cream, which is exactly why Alex likes his job. He works every Tuesday and Thursday. He loves scooping ice cream to get buff and getting tons of ice cream samples.

Kevin Whitson is currently a junior at La Salle who doesn’t work during the school year, but does have a summer job. He works at a bark dusk company five times a week for a month. Kevin doesn’t enjoy working because he has to work long hours and it’s hard physical labor. Kevin’s work typically includes scooping bark dust and spreading it. However, he of course does enjoy the money that he earns through his hard work.
