Spring Concerts Preview

Nikki LaFrance, Staff Reporter

When’s the last time you’ve gone to a concert? One of teenagers’ favorite pastimes is going to see their favorite artists perform along with their friends.

There are many upcoming concerts happening between now and the beginning of summer break. They range from one of the biggest new artists, Ed Sheeran, to a not very well known but very talented band, Smallpools.

Many of the concerts that come to the Portland-Seattle area are alternative bands, partly because both cities were a big part of the grunge movement, which started in Seattle in the 1990s. This isn’t a problem for most of the teenagers in these cities, though, because this genre is remains popular with many teenagers today.

Walk the Moon

The closest upcoming concert is Walk the Moon, Thursday, March 19th at the Roseland Theatre. Tickets on StubHub are starting at $48.17. They are an American indie rock band based in Cincinnati, best known for their most recent song, Shut Up and Dance.
